After twenty years working
with Pacific Bell I set out on my own,
offering consulting services to organizations endeavoring to understand
and use the Internet effectively in their business or service. Although
I am comfortable working with Service Providers and companies seeking to
do business on the web, I have a special interest in Educational and Rural/Tribal
applications of Internet technologies.
While with Pacific Bell Internet I was responsible for the design and implementation of their Internet dial-access product. Of special note was the fully redundant and geographically distributed user authentication and usage accounting system. I was, and continue to be, deeply involved in the emerging field of roaming technologies in the Internet Access field. Previously I was technical director of Pacific Bell's widely recognized Internet in the schools project. Besides my interests in the net I am also active in other areas. I am a Director and Past President of the Camp Unalayee Association. This exceptional group operates wilderness programs for youth in California, including a summer camp in the Trinity Alps of Northern California.
